What do the waves of Lake Constance, the surging waters of the Rhine Falls, and the contours of the Swiss Alps have in common? Each reveals geometric forms, patterns, structures, and transformations—qualities that also lie at the heart of mathematics.

The exhibition creates a visual dialogue between mathematics and nature, inviting visitors to look more closely, uncover hidden connections, and experience the beauty of complex structures.

The exhibition opening will take place on Monday, 7th September 2026, at 12:45 pm in the training area of the University Library’s Information Centre. It will be followed by a reception with refreshments on Level A5.

PhD Philipp di Dio, a mathematician and Research Fellow at the University of Konstanz’s Zukunftskolleg, as well as a photographer and artist, invites visitors to rediscover this familiar landscape through a mathematical lens. His photographs reveal a world shaped by symmetry, variation, proportion, movement, and form.
