Conference Dinner
We cordially invite you to attend the Conference Dinner of the DMV Annual Meeting 2026. We look forward to welcoming you to an enjoyable and convivial evening, offering an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues and continue the day’s discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
The conference dinner will be held on
Tuesday evening at 19:30 at the
Comturey Restaurant, located on the renowned
Mainau Island. Your dinner ticket grants complimentary admission to the island from 17:30 onwards, giving you time to explore the vibrant dahlia displays and other exceptional garden attractions.

The dinner will be offered as a buffet featuring a selection of salads, main courses, side dishes, and desserts. One bottle of mineral water per person is included; additional beverages may be purchased separately. Please indicate at the time of booking if you prefer the vegetarian or vegan option.
The price is €60 per person.

Access:
Mainau Island is located close to the university and can be reached conveniently in several ways (see below).
Please show your conference badge at the entrance. Admission is allowed from 17:30 onward.
The restaurant is located at the harbor on the far side of the island.
For the fastest route, keep right and walk along the foot of the hill (approx. 20 minutes walking time). If you have more time, enjoy the famous dahlia garden, the impressive arboretum around the castle at the top of the hill, and the island's many other vibrant floral displays.
If you have difficulty walking, you can also reach the restaurant by car with a special permit.

Options to reach Mainau Island:
# On foot (about 30 minutes starting at the university):
Follow the signs for Bus 4/13.
Go down the stairs in Section G and exit at the lowest level.
Take foot path down the hill (steepest descent), cross the wooden bridge and go straight down the stairs.
Follow the road in the same direction until it ends at a T-junction.
Turn left there and continue until the road turns into a gravel path.
Follow this path directly to the entrance of Mainau Island.
# By bus 4/13:
Departs from Konstanz Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and takes about 20 minutes.
From the university, it is less than a 10-minute walk to the nearest bus stop:
Follow the signs for Bus 4/13.
Go down the stairs in Section G and exit at the lowest level.
Take foot path down the hill (steepest descent), cross the wooden bridge, and keep left to reach the bus stop, which is visible from the bridge.
The ride to Mainau Island takes about 2 minutes (it's the next stop).
Buses run every 15 minutes until 18:48, and every 30 minutes after that.

Return Trip Options from Mainau Island:
# Bus 13/4 is the direct route to the city center and takes 22 minutes to Konstanz Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), with transfer options at Sternenplatz.

# Bus 4/13 also heads to the city center, but takes a longer route (49
minutes)
through the outskirts of Konstanz. If you are staying at a hotel near Line-Eid-Straße, this is a good option as it reaches Neuwerk in 38 minutes without requiring a transfer.
