Opening Reception

We cordially invite all conference participants to the Opening Reception of the DMV Annual Meeting 2026
at the University of Konstanz.


Date & Time: Monday, September 7, 2026, 17:45–19:30
Location: Outside Building A, next to the Mensa


 Participation is included for all conference participants.

Programme (starting at 17:45)

  • Welcome and introduction by the President of the German Mathematical Society (DMV)
  • Welcome addresses by the Rector of the University of Konstanz (subject to availability) and the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
  • Presentation of the von Kaven Prize 2026, awarded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), to Bernhard Schmitzer (University of Göttingen).


During the reception, freshly baked Dünnele, a regional speciality of thin, crispy flatbreads with savory toppings, will be available from the Dünnele food truck. Water, juices, and wine will be available throughout the reception. The exact location of the food truck will be announced here soon.


We look forward to a pleasant evening together and hopefully some nice late summer weather!
